Born in Taihape, raised in Wanganui, trained at Otago University. Practised dentistry around the world. An interest in community dentistry lead to beginning a career for the Northland Community Dental project, balanced with a private practice position. An opportunity to return to Wanganui with The Dentists, a large professional and well-supported practice, which included a brief stint at Ohakune Dental Centre as a locum. 6 years in London as the in-house dentist at their Moorgate Headquarters, well supported by specialists and great learning opportunities.
An opportunity to provide a voluntary dental project providing basic dental care for homeless and orphaned children in Kathmandu, Nepal and later served with Mercy Ships in Belize. Introduced to Minimal Intervention Dentistry at one of their first conferences at the Powderhorn Chateau and realised a passion for learning techniques to provide healthier, longer-lasting and beautiful smiles.
